If stories come to you, care for them. And learn to give them away where they are needed. Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive.
—Barry Lopez

Inside these pages, I share discoveries, stories, and teachings. I draw from my work, travels, studies, research, personal contemplations, and interviews with the many wisdom keepers, who care for us all.
We need not look far to find suffering in our lives, to see it knocking at the door of our neighbors, our communities, the world, the earth at large. It is so easy to feel afraid, angry, cynical, disinterested, tired, withdrawn.
Carolyn Myss once said, “In the darkest times, the monasteries fill to their highest levels with those, who choose to offer prayer.” There is always an alternative to suffering.
In these pages, I offer what light I’ve learned along the trail, the stories and wisdom that have been given to me. It is an offering. A prayer.
I’m also using this blog site to keep you informed of my current schedule and happenings. My closest friends understand the nomadic urges of my midwifery soul as part of how I give. Technology allows us to communicate regardless of where our forms find themselves.
To learn about what and where I’m teaching, click on class descriptions and/or schedule from the column to the right. To read articles, musings, discoveries, click on other categories listed as they interest you. I will begin to make regular postings from my writing and teaching projects. To learn more about my travels, click on the International section or go to india2010.wordpress.com for my India tour blog. (I still have a few openings, so contact me if you’re interested. There’s a little time left to sign up.)
As always, feel free to contact me, or post a comment. All of us journey further upon the path together rather than alone.
Blessings and Namaste,
Connee
“A life is either all spiritual or not spiritual at all. No man can serve two masters. Your life is shaped by the end you live for. You are made in the image of what you desire.”
Thomas Merton
